Mayan Cacao

Are you ready to engage all of your senses? During this adventure you are going to learn about the Mayan Culture and their association with the cacao also known as the “Food of the Gods”. We offer 3 types of experiences, the first one is going to demonstrate you how the “Mayans” use to elaborate their own chocolate. The second one includes one of our workshops where you will learn how to make a chocolate bar with the cacao seeds the mayans used in rituals and ceremonies to honor their gods. Grind them in a traditional pre-hispanic “Metate”, mix the ingredients and take a piece of our Mexican gastronomic culture in a handmade chocolate bar made by yourself. Finally, the second workshop will add a margarita making experience, an exquisite fun treat packed with history, tasting, demonstration and of course lots of mouthwatering chocolate.
