Submarine Ride

Did you know that the Atlantis XII is the only submarine designated for tourism in Mexico? This vessel glides to depths of over 100 feet while keeping you and your loved ones in pressurized, air-conditioned comfort.

The submarine features 26 side portholes and 1 large viewport across the bow, allowing everyone to marvel at intimate views of the extraordinary ‘Chankanaab Reef’. In addition to the ‘Chankanaab’ reef, you can visit the mysterious sunken ship, the ‘Felipe Xicotencatl’, located over 50 feet below the surface, as a member of our crew narrates its tale. During this spectacular ride, you can witness exotic fish, gentle sea turtles, and peaceful rays. Sea life varies throughout the seasons, so you may see species that are passing through or those that inhabit these beautiful waters. Finally, you will have the opportunity to explore beyond the reef as we pass near ‘The Wall’, a vertical drop-off that plummets to more than 2000 feet deep at the edge of the island.

After your time in the submarine, you can soak in the sun on the decks of the ship ‘Ana’ as she takes you back to the pier.
